Jesus will never let go!

Jesus will never let go!

Jesus will never let go!

There are a lot of people struggling right now.  Are you one of them? I’m so sorry if you are, but there is hope even in a world riddled with pandemics, death, and despair.  The Name of our hope is Jesus Christ. Maybe you’ve never heard of Him, maybe He is prevalent and prominent in your life when things are good, or maybe He is LORD of your life in good times and in bad.  Regardless of your current relationship with Jesus – Did you know He is the same yesterday, today, and forever? He never changes! I wish that were true of me and people I know, but we are just not that way, but God is.  He is unwavering and that is very reassuring especially in times like these.

When the wheels come off the buggy

Sometimes in life the proverbial wheels come off our buggy making life difficult and at times extreme.  It feels like the walls of life are squeezing in on us and this may be the very end. Yes, I’ve been there many times.  Often by choice but other times by unforeseen circumstances. We cannot control the origins of CODVID-19 or the government mandates to socially distance ourselves from others and not be able to work.  The wheels appear to be coming off for a lot of people around the world and in our very own neighborhoods. Let me tell you something you probably don’t want to hear right now…there is hope!

To whom do you belong?

God’s Word comforts us and soothers our weary and desperate souls.  The Bible says God will never leave us or forsake us. Feel forsaken?  God is a whisper away. He is always there for us. Jesus stated He is the Good Shepherd.   A good shepherd does not flee when the flock He is watching is under attack from a predator.  He stays and defends His sheep. A hired hand flees, when the flock he is being paid to watch is attacked.  Ownership changes everything! Do you belong to Jesus, or do you belong to a hired hand?

When we are His

Jesus says My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me.  Oh how we love to follow. We will follow just about anything these days that bring pleasure, comfort, and distraction from the circumstances around us.  We will follow alcohol, the wrong woman or man into an unholy alliance, food, video games, our jobs, social media, sports, drugs, and countless other pursuits that numb our pain and make us forget about our current circumstances.  Funny thing, after the high, the binge, the promiscuous act – name your drug – the circumstances are always the same. Jesus, on the other hand, changes everything. Do you belong to Him? When we are His, He gives us eternal life and promises we shall never perish – Ever!  That is true and lasting hope. I can assure you the bottle will run dry, the promiscuity leads to further destructions, the food fattens and slowly kills, the drug wears off, the sports fail, but the LORD – the LORD never fails! My Father (God), who has given them to Me (Jesus), is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

Are you His?

We are somebody’s.  To whom do you belong?  The hired hand or the Living God.  Those are the only two choices. The worlds or the LORD’s.  We are in one of those two camps, and at the impending judgement we will be placed into one of those two camps.  Is your hope starting to fade? Don’t let it, today is the day of your salvation! Simply turn to the LORD and ask Him into your heart – this is done by simply turning away from the things of the world and turning your life toward Jesus.  Ask Him to come into your heart, repent of your sins (confess your wrong doings – things you feel ashamed you’ve done), and ask God to forgive you. Start reading the Bible on a regular basis and get to a church that teaches the Bible. There are many Bible teaching churches out there.  Then start living a holy and righteous life. Tell others about your conversion to live for the LORD and help others find their way to God.

He loves you – after all He made you in His image!
